Purpose of Corporation
IIT Mandi Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code of the United States of America.
The purpose of the IIT Mandi Foundation is to create funds for students and faculty, support staff development, curriculum innovation, research and development and innovative initiatives, promote excellence, provide welfare funds, conduct community outreach, and support disadvantaged individuals.
IIT Mandi Foundation’s purpose is to receive donations, gifts, and grants from alumni, children of alumni, relatives or friends of alumni, and organizations for the benefit of students, faculty, support staff, and alumni of Indian Institute of Technology Mandi or other educational institutions that impart education and promote research in the areas of technology, engineering, science, management, social sciences, and humanities.
All donations, bequests, gifts and grants may be used for general or specific purposes like scholarships, awards, fellowships, research grants, establishing faculty chairs, attending and/or presenting research papers at national or international conferences, seeking, promoting or supporting internships and placements and any other purpose which is intended to enhance the know-how, abilities, capabilities, and other skills of individuals, groups and organizations.
Additionally, the purpose of the IIT Mandi Foundation is to foster collaboration with like-minded educational and research organizations for improving and advancing the quality of life on planet Earth through education, scientific advances, research and development and other related activities.
IIT Mandi Foundation, Inc. is a Tax-exempt Public Charity under the IRC Section 501(C)(3) of the USA
IIT Mandi Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit/tax exempt corporation and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The IIT Mandi Foundation aims to receive donations, bequests, gifts, and grants from alumni, their children, relatives, friends, associates, and benefactors. These contributions can come from individuals, corporate entities, or other organizations. The funds are dedicated to benefiting the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IITM), as well as other educational institutions that focus on education and research in technology, engineering, science, management, social science, and humanities. All donations, bequests, gifts, and grants can be used for general purposes or allocated to specific initiatives.
The donation may be received for initiatives that include scholarships, awards, fellowships, research grants, the establishment of faculty chairs, attending and/or presentations at national or international conferences, the promotion or support of internships and placements, and any other efforts aimed at enhancing the knowledge, abilities, and skills of individuals, groups, and organizations.
IIT Mandi Foundation has to be generated funds for the development of students, faculty, and supporting staff, curriculum innovation, research support, entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives, promotion of excellence, welfare programs, community outreach, and assistance for disadvantaged individuals.
The IIT Mandi Foundation aims to collaborate with like-minded educational and research organizations to enhance and advance the quality of life on Earth through education, scientific advancements, development, research, and other related activities.
